Study Abroad After FSc in 2026: 15 Countries You Can Apply To Right Now
Short answer: Your FSc result opens more doors than most students expect. You can apply to 15 countries where FES has recognised partner institutes. Some take FSc directly, some start you on a foundation or diploma that leads into the degree, and several cost far less than the UK or Australia. The Punjab boards announced their HSSC Part II results on 23 September 2026, so the next few weeks are a good time to plan.
How FSc gets you into a Bachelor's abroad
There are three routes, and every country below uses at least one of them.
Direct entry. Your FSc is accepted for Year 1 of the degree. Some Canadian, Asian and Turkish institutions work this way, and some UK universities consider it for high marks.
Foundation, diploma or pathway. You spend one year (sometimes less) at a pathway college, then move into the degree. This is the most common route for the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the Netherlands.
Transnational campuses. You study a UK or Australian degree at a branch campus in Malaysia, the UAE, Sri Lanka or Vietnam, usually at a lower cost.
The route you qualify for depends on your percentage, your subjects and your chosen course.

Germany is possible with one extra step. Pakistani HSSC is generally not treated as equivalent to the German Abitur, so most FSc students complete a one-year preparatory course (Studienkolleg) before a bachelor's. Which countries suit which budget
Lower living costs (under about $6,000 per year): Hungary, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Indonesia, Türkiye and Malaysia. Türkiye's government scholarship program, Türkiye Bursları, is described on our guide as covering tuition, accommodation and living expenses.
Global degree with international work rights: the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand have graduate work routes. Canada's Post-Graduation Work Permit allows work for up to three years after study.
European base: Hungary, Ireland and the Netherlands. Hungary is known for medicine, dentistry and engineering, and Ireland has one of Europe's biggest tech hubs.
Keep a UK or Australian degree at a lower cost: transnational campuses in Malaysia, the UAE, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

Subject marks matter too. Some courses ask for 60% or more in maths.
Converting your marks: Punjab board toppers this year were reported out of 1,200 marks (for example, BISE Sahiwal's first position holder scored 1,167). On a 1,200 total, 660 marks is 55%, 720 is 60%, 780 is 65%, 840 is 70% and 960 is 80%. Check the total on your own marks sheet.
Get your documents attested
Most applications and every visa application need attested documents. For FSc and Matric the chain is:
Board verification. IBCC only attests certificates already verified by the issuing board.
IBCC attestation. IBCC covers documents up to HSSC level. To attest your HSSC you also present your SSC. Board verification is valid for six months, so time it with your IBCC submission.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA). Attestation comes after IBCC, and some embassies add one more step, depending on the country.
HEC attestation covers degrees beyond HSSC, so FSc students usually do not need it. Confirm with your destination.
English tests
Several countries here ask for lower scores than most students assume. Malaysia lists IELTS 5.5+, Hungary lists 5.5 to 6.5, Ireland lists 6.0 to 6.5, and the Netherlands lists 6.0 to 7.0. FSc Pre-Medical students
FSc Pre-Medical alone is generally not accepted for direct entry to UK medicine, and MDCAT scores do not count in UCAS.
